Tapiwa Mandinyenya gave fans a glimpse of what they can expect after the lanky forward put on an impressive display in Ngezi Platinum Stars 1 nil victory over Bulawayo Chiefs at the Baobab Stadium on Saturday.
After joining Madamburo during the mid-season break, Mandinyenya had been restricted to cameo roles before Takesure Chiragwi handed the forward a spot in the starting 11 on Saturday.
As if to repay the faith shown in him the Aces Youth Soccer Academy product fired home in the 12th minute to hand Ngezi Platinum a solitary goal which ensured the hosts walked away 1 nil victors.
Speaking to the Ngezi Platinum Stars staff reporter Madamburo interim gaffer Takesure Chiragwi was elated with Mandinyenya’s performance, “We need to inject a lot of energy and speed in the team so that we have a combination of experience and young blood I am happy with the experienced players because when these youngsters are coming in they are also helping them. As for Mandinyenya on his debut getting a goal, what more can I ask as a club I think we are headed in the right direction”.
Chiragwi also paid tribute to under 19 graduate Elson Mweha who also made his full debut against Bulawayo Chiefs. In the win against Chicken Inn Mweha was also instrumental after rising from the bench and creating Madamburo’s winning goal.
